Zoe Anderson
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) aims to empower people to become their own therapists by noticing patterns in thinking, behaving and having strategies to manage your distress. It works on the basis that the way that we think, what we do and how we feel all influence each other. And with support, we can break out of old patterns that are no longer serving us.
This is what I endeavor to achieve throughout supporting you in therapy and provide a warm, supportive space to do this. I have been working in mental health services for 7 years and have expertise in treating depression, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), stress, low self-esteem, perfectionism, social anxiety, health anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, specific phobias and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). I am able to flex therapy to your personal needs and it is a collaborative process, where we work as a team to reach your therapy goals.
I have particular experience in working with long-term health conditions, older adults, perinatal/postnatal women and trauma. I am registered with the relevant accrediting body (BABCP).
